AK Consulting sponsored and attended the RagTrader Live 2014 conference at Royal Randwick Racecourse on 12^th August 2014.  With over 300 Australian fashion business executives attending the one-day premiere event, the atmosphere was surrounded by excitement and eagerness to hear what key speakers had to say about the Australian fashion apparel industry in the areas of innovation, internationalisation, and independents.

Speakers from Ana Maria Escobar, General Manager & Creative Director, Oroton to Craig King, CEO, General Pants Group, covered the areas of innovation and internationalisation. Topics such as cutting edge in-store technology and designer collaborations were discussed by Craig King and Catherine Taouk of Think Consulting.

Luxury brands such as Zimmermann and Bec & Bridge discussed amongst a panel how they are expanding their international footprint.

Discount department store, Big W talked about positioning itself as a one-stop shop for affordable, on-trend fashion, focusing and delivering on what their customers want.

Many other brands and retailers had great advice to share from transforming from a wholesale group to a publicly listed company to advise on innovating in the digital retail arena and increasing your digital footprint to reach customers.
